Everyone is tapping their toes when David Potter performs at the Stuart Green Market. He is a banjo maestro. His voice is right on pitch. He plays and sings everything from bluegrass to folk, the classic tunes and some very clever originals. All entertaining and all is pleasing  for shoppers and vendors alike.

Earl Scruggs to Twisted Sister

David  picks and strums like Earl Scruggs when he plays Rocky Top Tennessee (an official song for just about anything in Tennessee). He  intones a drumbeat march as he sings a twisted Sister standard, “We’re Not Gonna Take It.”  Then he switches to the, “Ballad of Jeb Clampett,”  more famously known as  The Beverly Hillbillies theme.

Gets wild with originals

It is wise to listen closely as David comes up some funny lyrics for familiar songs that he sneaks into a song. His originals like, “Welcome to the Farmers’ Market,” gets a chorus going among the vendors. David makes listening fun.
