The Stuart Green Market is hosting a Fall Health Expo on October 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. that focuses on nontraditional treatment and practices.
There is so much to consider these days about maintaining good health. Beyond cost and access to care, Americans have to weigh daily studies regarding treatment, medications, food and environment, to decide the best path to healthy living.
“Basically, what we are doing,” says Barbi Motisi, market vice president, “is giving everyone a chance to meet some people in our community, who offer different ways to treat illness and maintain good health. You can come to the market and get a lot of good information in a few hours. Hopefully, you will feel more comfortable about these issues and feel better about making personal decisions.
“Americans have been slow to adopt other forms of health care from around the world. Part of problem has been lack of access for most of us. Gradually this has changed. Now we are at a point where we need to evaluate all that is available to us, including alternative and holistic practices.”
